Click on the links below for the recently approved subject lists for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s Bachelor of Nautical Science and Bachelor of Marine Engineering programmes.

You will notice that the specialization modules spread across 3 years. This spreading is required by the Council of Higher Education (CHE) and serves the purpose of authenticating the degree for articulation onto postgraduate qualifications.

Plans to be shared mid 2020 by CPUT:

• Programmes to fill the gap left by the out-phasing National Diploma,
• Articulation from the out-phasing National Diploma onto a bachelor as well as
• Other avenues to articulate onto a bachelor, i.e. RPL.

Both subject lists are subject to review and amendment.  Any changes will be communicated by CPUT as well as which subjects may possibly be offered on e-learning/distance learning platforms in year 3, to accommodate seafarers
